Golden sand, two historic bays and coves under Serra Gelada: Benidorm's coastline is the heart of the Costa Blanca.

Levante Beach

Poniente Beach

West of the old town, Poniente feels wider and more family-friendly, with fine sand and a promenade that stretches towards the horizon. Levante's calmer counterpart: the same Mediterranean, a different pace.

Mal Pas and coves

Between Levante and Poniente, Mal Pas is a more intimate spot by the old town: usually calm water and an urban-cove feel. Further on, the Serra Gelada coast hides coves such as Cala del Tío Ximo.

  • Ideal for a dip near the old town.
  • Quieter than the long sandy beaches.
  • Combine with a visit to the Castle viewpoint.

Cala del Tío Ximo and Serra Gelada

To the east, Serra Gelada draws cliffs and clear-water coves. Cala del Tío Ximo is the perfect contrast with the urban beaches: more nature, more rock and the deep blue of the natural park.

  • Wear comfortable shoes if you walk down to the cove.
  • Sun protection and water: there is less shade.
  • Combine with a Serra Gelada trail.
